What I Wore | Bohemian in the Countryside

Kimono: Love Red Label*. Leggings: Zara. Blouse: Vintage. Fedora: Topshop. Necklace: Ever Ours*. Boots: My Dress Room. Lipstick: Topshop Infrared
I’ve wanted a kimono for as long as I can remember and not really wearing many bright, floral colours I’ve had a job finding one that would suit my monochrome wardrobe. But when Love Red Label got in touch and were kind enough to offer me a piece from their site - I think I did a little wee of excitement after spotting this kimono. It’s beauty is almost a little too much to handle and for heavens sake it’s flocked velvet, which we all know is my absolute favourite thing (hence the re-purchase of those famous Zara leggings I can’t get enough of).

Kimono’s, I find, can be quite the task to style – especially if your wardrobe doesn’t particularly cater for that boho, fairy look. So today I went for something simple and teamed it with a simple blouse and high-waisted leggings. However, I think this could look just as flattering with a super casual, floaty slip dress, thick black tights and booties.
You and I both know I’m pretty much always in black or white clothing, but I do try (most of the time), to add a little pop of colour to my outfits. This beautiful statement necklace from Ever Ours is a beauty to behold. It gives that burst of colour you need with an outfit like this and makes what could be quite a grungy look, more feminine. I just love it, and that’s all I have to say about that.

Oh yes, I'll admit I like the necklace even more than the kimono (which is not to say it's not beautiful!) - I like how it stands out against your hair!

This outfit is stunning on you! The kimono is great - I bought a similar one a month back on a whim and haven't work it yet as I didn't know how or what with. I love how you've worn yours, I'm going to take inspiration and wear my new kimono now! :)
